Is Apple EVER going to fix this issue once and for all? You have created an extremely screwed up setup that you admit is blocking internet access which is required. I though Apple products should just WORK together… If as you say there is no internet access then it is hanging waiting on DNS and ITMS access that is not available. While this library loading is showing, had a look at the network traffic widget (4 finger swipe to the right) - absolutely ZERO traffic running/transmitting from the MBP to the WiFi signal!!! It does not require the internet, it just works better if it is. You just said it was not connected to the internet, now you are saying it is. Resetting the Apple TV is not an option as it needs to be connected to the internet to activate Home Sharing It DNS service and to be able to connect to the iTunes store to work 100% correctly. There are major connection hands without internet access. No internet connection is available on this WiFi Is it using WiFi or ethernet? It can not be both. Sometimes it takes seconds for the Music and Movie options to appear and other times it takes up to 10 minutes… Just showing "Loading XXX Library" with spinning icon. No internet connection is available on this WiFi as it is only used with home sharing on early 2010 MacBook Pro. My Apple TV (latest generation) runs on its "own" dedicated WiFi - connected with ethernet cable to Airport Express (generating the WiFi signal) on the 5GHz signal. This question has been asked earlier but no real answers has emerged and the same issue is still plaguing Apple TV. ![]()
